“Travel is Fatal to Prejudice, Bigotry, and Narrow Mindedness”

“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list”
Susan Sontag
I am Grateful….
to be in a stage of life and to have the good health and fortune, to travel often. I am always looking toward my next adventure. I wander regularly, in my every day driver, a Ford Transit cargo van. She found me on a used car lot, when I was looking to replace an older car, that had created trust issues in our relationship.
I have been converting and adding things to the van regularly. I started with adding two, removable back seats, for when I have the Grandchildren. It didn’t take long before I had a mattress on the floor and was sleeping in her. Now, I have a bed, a 12 volt fridge, solar, a butane stove, a heater and fans. I sleep well.
I feel the most free, when I travel alone. I lose myself and become an invisible spectator. Everyday, alone, on the road, is filled with discovery, time for quiet refection, healing and renewal. There is no itinerary, no motel to stay close to. I stay for as long as I like, I sleep where and when I want. I have everything with me.
By nature, I do not travel with fear. I have found, mostly kind, engaging and helpful people while on the road. I also have very good instincts, research the areas where I sleep and travel and feel prepared to handle anything that comes my way.

I haven’t named her yet?
